LINE 93 COMMISSIONING

Plex Projects was engaged to provide the engineering services to support the planning and execution of the linefill for the newly constructed Line 93. Plex deliverables included the following:

• Development of Valve Manipulation Program – Plex optimized the project nitrogen requirements through the development of a procedure which provided operations with instructions on which valves to open during the filling process so that the correct back pressure is maintained. This significantly reduced the nitrogen volumes and subsequent costs to the client.
• Project Execution Planning – Outlined the high-level strategy including plot plans, mobilization and equipment staging plans, resourced loaded schedule, safety, and quality requirements for the project execution.
• Field Engineering support – Plex provided field engineering resources to manage the injection of nitrogen of approximately 510,000 m3 of nitrogen into the line and ensure the required pressure for commencement of linefill operation was achieved. Plex was also responsible for logistics management, schedule forecasting, and providing daily updates to the client.
